The record
Two people who have already lost each other.
“Drifted” is MAQ’s new single — not a breakup in progress, but the memory after it.
He is in the dark, wet city: busy, successful, and alone in it. She is somewhere else entirely — a silver lake, thin and ethereal, maybe only imagined. MAQ cast two voices to carry the distance: Eric Hollaway, a five-octave oktavist whose low register is known to millions across TikTok, YouTube and Instagram, and Case Watson, the New York art-rock voice who answers him from the other shore.
